My Approach

Raising a multilingual child: the benefits

In an increasingly connected world, growing up with more than one language offers children significant emotional, relational, and cognitive advantages. A multilingual child becomes an adult who is more open to dialogue and better equipped for today’s global job market. In multilingual families, communication is richer, bonds are stronger, and roots run deeper.

A child’s brain — especially in the early years — is perfectly capable of managing two or more languages at the same time. It’s time to debunk the myth of linguistic “confusion” once and for all. Multilingual children often show stronger attention, better task management skills, and improved academic performance. These benefits are especially strong when children are exposed to other languages in early childhood, but meaningful progress can still happen later on.

Approach

One method for all, customized for each individual

In my experience as a daughter and mother in a bilingual family, and thanks to Dr. Bettina Gruber’s LingFLoWS® certified program, I have identified four essential points for helping parents pass on their language to their children and raise them in a multilingual environment.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution. I will help you set clear and realistic goals and find ways to achieve them that are compatible with your lifestyle. Every family is unique. Only a personalized plan will work in the long term and ensure that multilingualism becomes a part of your life for good.

1

Knowledge

Being a multilingual parent is not easy. We often feel insecure because we have been given the wrong advice. Instead, I will give you the scientific facts about multilingualism and the skills you need to know exactly what to do. And you can be sure that you are doing the right thing for your child.

Goal:
To gain clarity and confidence

Growth environment

Your child acquires your language in simple everyday moments, through games, reading, songs, and family rituals. Together, we create a context specifically designed for you, in which your child can acquire your language as naturally and easily as possible and be motivated to speak it with you.

Goal:
To learn and speak naturally, without effort.

3

Mindset & focus

I will show you how to change your orientation, shifting your focus to your goals and discovering new ways to achieve them. Ways you didn’t see before. I will teach you to focus on your progress and then use it as a basis for building more.

Goal:
See new solutions and stay motivated

Relationships & needs

To raise a multilingual child, we need to understand their needs, and in doing so, we strengthen our relationship with them. You will pass on much more than just language to your child, and this will create an even closer and deeper bond between you.

Goal:
To create an even closer and deeper parent-child relationship

Is it right for you? Find out!

You speak a language other than the one spoken in your environment and you are trying to pass it on to your child, but you are not satisfied with how things are going.
You would love for your child to speak your language easily and naturally and for it to be part of your everyday life.
If you speak Italian, German, or English, that's all you need. It doesn't matter which language you want to teach your child, because you only need to speak one of these three languages to be able to consult with me.
