I am a member since 2006 of BDÜ, the largest German national association of qualified interpreters and translators, which has over 7,500 members.
In 2007, I joined AITI, the main Italian association of interpreters and translators and founding member of FIT. From 2008 to 2015 I was a member of Training Commission of AITI’s Piedmont and Aosta Valley branch and took part in organising training events for professional translators and interpreters. Since 2017, I am part of AITI’s national Interpreters Commission, which deals with promoting the category of conference and liaison interpreters and organising dedicated training events.
FIT (Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs – International Translators’ Federation) groups over 100 professional associations and represents over 80,000 interpreters and translators in 55 countries around the world. The purpose of the federation is to promote the professionalism of interpreters and translators.
